I received my PhD in Theology and Philosophy from the University of St. Michael's College, University of Toronto in 2011, focusing upon the modernization of political and legal thought in Muhammad Iqbal and Moses Mendelssohn.
I also received the MA in Religion and Culture from Laurier, where I wrote a thesis in Islamic and NT studies, and the MTS in Theology and Philosophy from McMaster University where I wrote my major essay upon Christian political thought.
My current research interests are twofold:
- Examining the role of moral philosophy in the adjudication of cases dealing with competing human rights claims (notably religious freedom) within appellate courts.
- The interaction between philosophy and theology in the development of modern political and legal thought.
