Jay began his journey at Wilfrid Laurier University as a dedicated music student and violinist, later performing internationally with a variety of ensembles. His experiences as a musician shaped his life’s work, inspiring him to support others whose artistic careers place unique physical demands on their bodies.
After earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree with cum laude and clinic honours from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Jay went on to establish the Guidonian Therapy Clinic in 2007. The clinic quickly became a trusted and essential resource for the Kitchener-Waterloo music and arts communities.
We know that many of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni have received care at Guidonian, and benefited directly from Jay’s expertise, empathy, and deep understanding of the needs of musicians.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jay’s wife, Sara-Lynn, and their daughters Hannah, Cayla, and Annika, as well as to all who are grieving this profound loss.
Family will receive visitors at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
His celebration of life will be held at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church, 245 Lexington Rd., Waterloo, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 11:00 am, with a reception to follow in the Church Hall. A private interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford, Ontario.
A livestream and recording of the funeral service will be available on Jay’s tribute page at www.erbgood.com
