Print | PDFOn Wednesday, April 2, Wilfrid Laurier University varsity teams are going head to head in the 24-hour Golden Hawks Giving Challenge and they need you on the team!
Student-athletes are competing to reach their donor count and fundraising targets before the buzzer goes at 11:59 p.m. on April 2. Every dollar – and every donor – helps your team get closer to achieving its goals.
“Your participation in the Golden Hawks Giving Challenge will provide essential support for varsity teams,” says Kate McCrae Bristol, director of Athletics and Recreation at Laurier. “Their annual fundraising is often used for additional coaching, exhibition and pre-season travel, investments in strength and conditioning, nutrition, athletic therapy, specialized equipment and much more."
As part of the challenge, there is $10,000 in additional funds available for teams to win. With eight challenges for teams to compete in, donors determine which teams qualify for the additional funds. Donate now to put your team in the running for the Warm-Up Challenge – all teams who receive a donation before April 2 will have a chance to win a $500 prize.
Check the team leaderboards on April 2 to track results in real time!
