Co-op for Faculty of Arts Students

Co-op is designed to provide you with opportunities to develop skills and gain real-world experience in the career path of your interest. Co-op students gain a competitive advantage over other applicants by completing modules and assignments focused on cover letter and resume writing, as well as mock interviews, within the required Fundamentals of Co-operative Education course.

During your co-op work terms, you'll learn to challenge assumptions, communicate effectively, think critically and work cooperatively.

How Arts Co-op Works

Faculty of Arts Co-op is program specific. Honours students in certain Arts majors can apply for admission to co-op after first year and may be eligible for an admission interview early in second year. If you are admitted to co-op, you will be eligible to complete three work terms of four months’ duration, enabling you to obtain a total of 12 months of full-time work experience.

You can also get a head-start and apply for direct admission to our brand-new co-op program straight from high school in select Arts programs. In both pathways, you will gain 12 months of career experience.
